Klahaya Swim & Tennis Club

Tennis Lessons

A summer of first serves and longer rallies.

Learn something new, build your game, and have fun on the courts. Klahaya’s tennis lessons bring young players together for a summer of practice and progress.

Learn the game. Enjoy the play.

Our youth tennis program welcomes players ages four and up. Classes are grouped by skill so players can work on the shots, movement, and confidence they need for their next step.

Most youth group lessons last 45 minutes and meet Monday through Wednesday. The youngest players learn through shorter, play-focused sessions. Thursdays are reserved for children’s lesson rain makeups.

Tiny Tots · Ages 4–5

Our youngest Frogs get a playful introduction to tennis through games, catching, movement, and coordination. Activities introduce the foundations of forehands, backhands, volleys, and overheads.

Beginner · Ages 6 and up

For players who are new to tennis, or who took beginner lessons last summer and have had little practice since. Build a foundation in the basic shots and start getting comfortable on court.

Advanced Beginner

For players continuing from Advanced Beginner lessons. Players should be able to sustain a four- or five-shot rally, hit basic volleys, and get their serve in.

Intermediate

For players continuing from Intermediate lessons. Players should be able to rally, hit some winners, and use volleys, overheads, and serves with consistency.

Advanced

For players working toward varsity tennis or already competing at that level. Approval from a Klahaya tennis coach or the Tennis Pro is required before enrolling.

For the youngest-player classes and Advanced lessons, confirm the class time and meeting days with the tennis staff before signing up.
